Owner UI override — 2026-10-13
Mitch explicitly overrides the original mockup and earlier fidelity rules for navigation, action labels and explanatory chrome. The stack remains Vite + Vue 3 + Vuetify 3 + vue-router 4. These differences are intentional owner decisions:
- A 72 px left Vuetify navigation rail replaces the desktop section bar. The brand is at the top; allowance, account access and Clerk’s user menu are at the bottom. On phones the same rail is a temporary drawer, opened by the menu icon; the previous bottom section navigation is removed so the map keeps that space.
- App-owned actions use 44 × 44 px Vuetify icon buttons, local
@mdi/js SVG paths, matching accessible names and focus/hover tooltips. Names and useful detail move into tooltips. Form labels, numeric measurements, brief unavailable/error/restricted states, DRAFT/not-surveyed warnings and legal attribution remain. Clerk’s own account widget retains its supported avatar/menu control.
- The map fills the viewport beside the rail. Map attribution is positioned above overlaid panels. Panel copy is shorter; informational icons retain placement, layer, playback and download guidance. Accuracy is still unvalidated and unavailable capabilities remain unavailable.
- SPA clarification: the app shell and primary map remain mounted across every section change. Route views swap panels over the map; Process, Jobs, Case studies and Account use compact cards so geography remains visible. Inspector changes its backdrop in place. No client-side section navigation reloads the document.
- One named, lazy route table drives rail metadata. Clean history URLs replace hashes, legacy path aliases redirect by name, and unknown URLs get a 404 view. The build emits base-aware static-host rewrites and the exact existing CSP headers; see hosting instructions. No CSP origins were added.
Before/after review and verification record supersede the older integrated-app screenshots below for these owner-directed changes. Captures use test-only HTTP responses, actual OpenFreeMap tiles, and a mocked account avatar. They do not certify live model placement, production authentication, the later host or FS1/A459 acceptance. Development gallery boards below remain historical reference material, excluded from release.
Explore milestone fidelity review
Visual authority: Mitch’s bundled MitmonLabs Workspace.html (2026-10-12). All twelve reference boards were rendered read-only with Playwright at their exact board sizes, recorded in mockup-boards.json. The current Explore app image shows authenticated empty API coverage. Inspector, Download and phone images exercise intercepted contract-shaped HTTP test responses only; they are layout/test evidence, not served real-model evidence. No runtime demo data source or flag remains. The component/gallery pairs from the UI worker are supporting evidence; they are not screenshots of the integrated app.
Applied reference values
UI commit 03058b4815a485c8160a95f3e1ace9c57dc5da51 is merged. The app uses the exact #C8561F accent, self-hosted IBM Plex Sans / IBM Plex Mono, reference component icons, radii, borders and shadows. Superseded entry fonts and presentation overrides are removed. BuildingPanel owns its header/footer inside headerless FloatingPanel; DownloadPanel owns its header, scrolling body and fixed footer.
Measured layout: desktop shell 57 px; search/layers 336 px; floating building panel 382 px; Inspector sidebar 381 px; download drawer 560 px; desktop insets 16 px. Phone Explore uses the reference search/48 px camera controls, sheet at y=484 for the 390×844 viewport, and 64 px section navigation. Phone Inspector uses its full-screen scene, compact reveal bar, feature summaries and download action in the bottom sheet. Container resize recreates the approved FS3 scene to preserve the actual screen anchor, with desktop→phone regression coverage.
Mitch’s subsequent Explore correction docks the camera stack 16 px from the available right edge on desktop and 12 px on phone. Only an open right panel/drawer reserves space; desktop Inspector uses the same vertical camera stack beside its sidebar. The draw toolbar and bottom summary share a content-sized layout with a 12 px gap, and the left column scrolls above them without shrinking its cards. Phone Explore includes zoom buttons, and its expanded sheet leaves the camera stack reachable; the fullscreen Download dialog hides background map controls. The allowance text includes the explicit space before “areas left”. These adjustments are verified at 1440×900, 2000×1040 and 390×844; 2000 px evidence records the corrected layout at the viewport that prompted the request.
Deliberate differences required by bindings
- Location and content: Ottawa remains the initial/reset camera by owner decision 2026-10-12. Empty coverage shows “No buildings available in this area yet” in the mockup’s StateNotice style. Populated test screenshots use test-only HTTP responses/GLB geometry at Moncton coordinates; no real building correspondence is claimed. The removed fixture district was in river water, as the historical georeferencing diagnosis documents. No synthetic district or gazetteer is shipped.
- Usage and eligibility: the app shows only validated server Usage; values in populated test screenshots come from intercepted HTTP defined in test files. There is no client quota counter, invented price or reset promise. The server authorizes coverage and exports; client advice is explicitly provisional.
- Geometry: unchanged FS3 GeographicScene owns the approved preview. Its guide grid, arrows, receiver, supplied geometry, lighting and material patterns differ from the hand-drawn building illustration. No shared-source change or substitute renderer is used. Inspector cameras place this actual geometry within the reference composition. Inspection illumination is a stable example (2026-06-21 16:00 UTC); Shadow remains paused and no new time-control board was built.
- Inspector controls: desktop controls operate the supported reveal groups; features lack geometry/picking/individual visibility APIs. Phone collapsed rows summarize validated feature type/basis counts; expansion exposes the merged reveal controls. Camera buttons use supported 3D/2D, zoom and reset actions instead of promising a custom orbit/pan tool. No fabricated per-part callout anchors appear. Higher preview requires preview:lod3; higher export remains unavailable.
- Unknown measurements and claims: height, building footprint metrics and illustrative claims absent from the contract are not substituted from bounds or invented. Source reference, datum, dates and quality come from metadata. Unsupported preview representations are unavailable even where an export detail intent can be submitted for server review.
- Accessible and honest extra controls: a collapsed “Workspace tools” affordance retains the numeric rectangle path, keyboard building picker with no demo access selector. Search supports local coordinates; Photon is opt-in and its disclosure remains visible when enabled. The reference’s slash keycap does not imply a global shortcut. Real map attribution remains visible.
- Download outcome: the original reference describes recovering fresh links from Jobs. That route is a later milestone, so this milestone’s footer truthfully directs the user to request fresh access here. The actual validated delivery and download actions appear after the server/source response.
Recorded visual exceptions and remaining scope
The UI handoff records the authoritative reference white/accent contrast as 4.369:1 and warning text as 4.443:1. These are explicit visual exceptions; this evidence does not claim blanket WCAG AA contrast. Other tested token pairs meet the UI checks.
No old DM Sans/Manrope or approximate accent remains in the app entry. These five pairs are ready for review with the deliberate differences above; they are not a claim that shared geometry or contract-limited copy is pixel-identical. Process/Jobs, Shadow, Account and Case study boards remain paused by the latest owner decision. The completed A468 window is recorded as partial; remaining live acceptance needs a new coordinated window and approved real coverage.
